Lois Aline Tomaw

Lois Aline Tomaw, 85, Greencastle, formerly of Redmon and Paris, Ill., died Tuesday at Putnam County Hospital.

Born in Marshall, Ill., she was the daughter of Ophir and Opal (Davis) Claypool. She married Wayne Tomaw on Jan. 18, 1942 in Paris, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 1981.

She worked for several years at Zenith in Paris and later worked as a Paris area hospice caregiver.

She was a member of Redmon Christian Church and also served as a 4-H leader for many years.

Survivors include three sons, Tom Tomaw and wife Phyllis, Barneveld, Wis., Jim Tomaw and wife Lila, Winfield, Ala., and Charles Tomaw and wife Cheryl, Putnamville; a daughter, Sheree Blanton and husband Don, Reelsville; a brother, Morris Claypool and wife Barbara, Brazil; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and dear friend Harlan Guyer, Marshall.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. (CST) at Embarrass Cemetery near Redmon.

Visitation is 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Templeton Funeral Home in Paris.
