'Walk & Talk' gets area residents on track

The Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department is calling all walkers to participate in its new "Walk & Talk Program." The parks department has teamed up with DePauw University's Indoor Tennis and Track Center to offer a unique opportunity for active adults.

The program will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8-10 a.m. with the brunch starting at 10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The speaker series will be on Feb. 29 and March 31 from 10-11 a.m. The cost of the program is $15 and includes a T-shirt, a journal, and weekly snacks.

Registration forms are available at the Greencastle City Hall, The Putnam County Public Library and The Putnam County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Bright Futures, the Putnam County Senior Center, and The Indoor Tennis and Track Center.

  • What about those of us who work during the day and would like to participate in a program like this. It would be nice to also offer this in the evening. Alot more people would be included.
