Chantal Lace Selma Johnson, 20, Bainbridge, died Wednesday at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis after a two-year battle with leukemia.

Born in Glendale, Ariz., she was the daughter of Bruce Johnson and Wendie Johnson. A 2006 graduate of North Putnam High School, where she had been active in cheerleading, gymnastics, swimming, track, dance, and school clubs. She had attended IUPUI and was active in the Jaguar Cheer at the university.

Survivors include her parents; a brother, Zachary Johnson; sister, BryceLynne Johnson; and her grandparents, Albert Graham, Don and Kaylou Lightner, and Morgan and Marianne Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the North Putnam High School with Pastor Jerry Campbell officiating.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, and one hour prior to services at North Putnam High School on Saturday.
