MHAPC seeks nominations

Mental Health America of Putnam County is soliciting nominations for its annual awards for Person of the Year and Educator of the Year.

The Mental Health America Person of the Year Award recognizes an individual in the community who has shown outstanding dedication to improving mental health and wellness of individuals and families and who tirelessly promotes the mission of Mental Health America of Putnam County.

The Mental Health America Educator of the Year Award recognizes an educator in Putnam County who has demonstrated outstanding dedication to the mental health and wellness of children, families and fellow education professionals.

All nominations should be sent to the MHAPC office at 10 1/2 N. Jackson Street, Greencastle, or they may e-mailed to mhapc@broadreach.net no later than April 11.

Recipients in past years have been Ruth Ralph, Diana LaViolette, Charity Pankratz and Sue Murray for Person of the Year; and Robert Harbison, Marti Jackson, Becky Brothers and Dan TeGrotenhuis for Educator of the Year.

The awards will be presented at the May Annual Meeting to be held at the Putnam County Museum. In addition to the awards, there will be a program and a presentation of the Junior Mental Health America "Puppet Power" program. Refreshments will be served at the meeting.
