Ronald Farmer, 77, Cloverdale, died Thursday at Wishard Hospital.

Born in Marion County, he was the son of Robert Lee and Dorval Madeline (Poe) Farmer. He married Joan L. (Flesher) Farmer on Sept. 5, 1953, and she survives.

He was the former Owner/operator of Ron's TV Sales & Service and a carpenter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War.

He was a member of Cuba Baptist Church, Cuba, Ind.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Debora Buis, Cloverdale, Susan J. Hendershot and husband Tim, Elwood, Rhonda Hendershot and husband Bill, Spencer; two sons, Jerry Farmer and wife Angie, Cunot and Alan Farmer and wife Barb, Spencer; sisters, Betty Farmer, Quincy, Joyce Jones and husband George, Columbus and Karen Farmer, Quincy; brothers, James Farmer and wife Ermadine, Leesburg, Ga., Norman Farmer, Spencer, Joseph Farmer and wife Linda, Gosport, Harry Farmer and wife Betty, Cannelburg, Arnold Farmer and wife Sherry, Danville and Walter Farmer and wife Paula, Plainfield; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 18 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor Alan Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Mannan Cemetery, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be March 17 from 5-8 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral home.
