Putnam County Jail

Six people were booked into Putnam County Jail recently.

* Jeremy Miles, 29, Roachdale, was booked in at 9:04 p.m. Friday for driving while intoxicated. He was arrested by Officer Woodall of the Roachdale Police Department.

* Anthony Traylor, 19, Greencastle, was booked at 10:42 p.m. Friday for possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. He was arrested by Putnam County Officer Maudlin.

* Kathy Wellmeir, 57, Evansville, was booked at 3:30 a.m. Saturday for dealing in cocaine. She was arrested by Putnam County Officer Dwight Simmons.

* Robert Jackson, 48, Evansville, was booked at 4:01 a.m. Saturday for dealing in cocaine. He was arrested by Putnam County Officer Dwight Simmons.

* Victor Lee, 20, Brazil, was booked at 12:25 a.m. Sunday for intimidation, possession of alcohol by a minor, and public intoxication. He was arrested by Officer Vaughan of the Greencastle Police Department.

Greencastle Fire Dept.

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to several weekend runs.

On Saturday:

* At 1:08 a.m., firefighters responded to an alarm at 1 Taylor Place (Delta Tau Delta). They returned to the station at 1:25 a.m.

* At 3:47 a.m., firefighters went to 415 Anderson St. for an alarm. Nothing was found and they returned to the station at 4:21 a.m.

* At 12:23 p.m., firefighters returned to 1 Taylor Place for the same malfunctioning alarm. They returned to the station at 12:50 p.m.

On Sunday:

* At 1:18 a.m., firefighters were called to 1 Taylor Place for a malfunctioning alarm. They returned to the station at 1:38 a.m.

* At 4:45 a.m., firefighters went to 415 S. Locust for a malfunctioning alarm. They returned to the station at 5:15 a.m.

* At 5:45 a.m., firefighters responded to a malfunctioning alarm at 1 Taylor Place. They returned to the station at 5:58 a.m.
