Tuesday, March 18, 2008

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Mike Dunleavy tied his career high with 36 points, and the Indiana Pacers beat the New York Knicks 110-98 Monday night.

Danny Granger had 26 points and 11 rebounds, and Troy Murphy added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Pacers, who snapped a two-game losing streak.

Zach Randolph had 21 points and 14 rebounds, and Wilson Chandler added 15 points and eight rebounds for New York, which has lost nine of 10.

Dunleavy has scored 36 points four times this season, including the first meeting with the Knicks this season. He has scored 30 or more five times in his past 13 games, and the Pacers are 7-1 this season when he reaches that total.

The Pacers held the Knicks to 37 percent shooting and held an opponent under 100 points for the first time since the All-Star break.

Indiana is 3-0 against New York this season and has averaged 111 points in those games.

The Pacers started the day three games out of the eighth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, and 12 of their final 15 games are against teams with sub-.500 records.
