2008 ISP summer camps announced

Tuesday, March 18, 2008

The Indiana State Police Putnamville District has announced the schedule for the State Police Youth Camp Schedule for 2008.

The camps are for students entering grades 5 through 12. More than 1500 students annually interact with peers who have expressed common interests. Students learn teamwork skills while gaining self-confidence.

The Indiana State police department's camps and programs teach students that discipline is a pre-requisite in gaining self-respect, and self-respect is the first step in gaining the respect of others.

The 2008 State Police Youth Camp Schedule begins on July 6-11 at Vincennes University for grades 9-12.

Lions Law Camp Grade (Grades 7-8) begins June 25-28 at Vincennes and on July 9-12 at Anderson University.

The Optimist Respect for Law (Grades 5-6) begin on June 26-28 at Hanover college, June 12-14 at Vincennes University, July 10-12 at Anderson University, June 5-7 at University of Southern Indiana, July 17-19 at University of Southern Indiana and July 17-19 at Notre Dame University.
