Director-choreographer Lita Sandy will have auditions for the musical "Footloose" on Sunday, April 6, at 3 p.m, and Monday, April 7, at 7 p.m.

The auditions will be at the Hazel Day Longden Theatre of the Putnam County Playhouse in Greencastle.

The show will open the 2008 season of Playhouse and will be presented June 5-8 and 11-14.

Those attending should have a song prepared to sing. An accompanist will be provided. Sandy asks that songs be short and loud. Katheryn Dory will be the music director.

There will also be short readings from the script. Everyone should wear comfortable clothes and proper shoes, because there will also be a dance session.

"I am looking for strong dancers," said Sandy. "Footloose" is based on the popular film musical from the 1980's.

There are roles for many teens and adults. A few children will also be used in the town scenes.
