Members of the Greencastle Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts planted seven Purple Prince Flowering Crabapple trees in Robe-Ann Park as part of an environmental and community beautification project recently. The trees were purchased with funding received from a Youth Philanthropy Grant made available by the Putnam County Community Foundation and should add a colorful border to the Clearwaters addition to the park. Attending the planting were (from left) Cathy Bault, Cub Scout Den Leader David Bault, Bear Scout Phillip Gibson, Director of Community Development with the Putnam County Community Foundation Eric Wolfe, Pack 99 Cub Master Troy Scott, Boy Scout Sedrick Weinschenk, Tiger Cub Michael Goodman, Boy Scout Kyle Goodman, Girl Scout Leader Renee Goodman, Girl Scout Emily Scott, Bear Scout Andrew Scott, Co-Chair of the Youth Philanthropy Committee Ashlyn Archer, "Buddy", Committee Member Tyler Archer, Girl Scout Samantha Goodman, and Jacob Gibson.
