The Greencastle Fire Department responded to several weekend runs.

On Saturday:

* At 11:44 a.m., firefighters were called for an alarm at 500 Anderson St. They returned to the station at 12:31 p.m.

* At 4:47 p.m., firefighters went to 310 E. Hanna St. for an alarm due to a short circuit. They returned to the station at 5:35 p.m.

On Sunday:

* At 4:26 a.m., firefighters provided lift assistance with Operation Life at 732 Ravenwood Dr. They returned to the station at 4:52 a.m.

* At 12:51 p.m., firefighters provided clean-up assistance at a property damage car accident on CR 200 North, about 1 mile east of U.S. 231. They returned to the station at 1:17 p.m.

* At 3:27 p.m., firefighters were called for an unauthorized burn at 316 Gillespie. They returned to the station at 3:32 p.m.

* At 6:23 p.m., firefighters went to 463 Ridgeland Road for an alarm due to cooking. They returned to the station at 7 p.m.

* At 7:24 p.m., firefighters responded to a malfunctioning alarm at 208 E. Olive St. They returned to the station at 7:49 p.m.

Putnam County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Judith Ann Schmidt, 63, Poland, was book at 3:59 p.m. on Friday by the Indiana State Police for Possession of a Legend Drug

* Stewart Young, 41, Mooresville, was booked at 10:34 p.m. Friday by the Putnam County Sheriff's Dept. on a Petition to Revoke Probation.

* Bert Mitchell, 71, was booked at 11:40 p.m. Friday by GPD for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated..

* Jeramy Sheldon, 30, Greencastle was booked at 3:55 a.m. Saturday by GPD for Public Intoxication.

* Tinam Miller, 47, Champaign, Ill., was booked at 11:55 p.m. on Saturday by the Indiana State Police for Driving While Intoxicated.

* Andrea Horne, 32, Dayton, Ohio, was booked at 1:29 a.m. Sunday by the Putnam County Sheriff's Dept. for Dealing in Marijuana or Hash Oil.

* Charles Martin, 32, Dayton, Ohio, was booked at 1:49 a.m. Sunday by the Putnam County Sheriff's Dept. for Dealing in Marijuana or Hash Oil

* Christopher Monnett, 30, was booked at 3:42 a.m. Sunday by GPD for Public Intoxication.

* Stanley McKinney, 27, Greencastle, was booked at 8:36 a.m. Sunday by the Putnam County Sheriff's Dept. on a Hold by The Dept. of Corrections.
