Lula M. Campbell
Mrs. Lula M. Campbell age 91 of Greencastle, passed away Thursday at the Putnam County Hospital.
Born Feb. 21, 1917 in Henderson, Ky. she was the daughter of Clara Mae Chandler. She married Clarence Campbell on Feb. 4, 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1987.
Mrs. Campbell retired in 1980 from the Standard Grocery, Indianapolis, Ind. having been employed with them for 25 years working a head cashier. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, Greencastle.
Survivors include her daughter, Jo Ann Ballenger and husband, Michael of Cloverdale; five grandchildren, Mark Cooper and wife, Jill of Avon, Michael Cooper and wife, Angela of Indianapolis, Shelley French and husband, Tim of Greencastle, Shannon Campbell and husband, Dan of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Gina Ballenger of Cloverdale; 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother; three brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at the Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Alan Barber officiating. Entombment will be in the Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, Ind. The family will receive friends on Sunday April 6, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. at Hopkins -- Rector Funeral Home.
