Shop owner says she's giving it another try

Monday, April 7, 2008

We all know how the rumor mill works.

In order to get the story straight, it is best to get answers straight from the correct source. Rhonda Stonebraker from Victorian Day Spa & Hair Salon wants to help keep all in the loop.

"The rumors are true that we will be relocating. Although we are still at our current location, we anticipate opening at our new location in May or June. It saddens me to leave behind the beautiful place that was created to bring peace and relaxation to our clients," says Rhonda.

She adds, "But, as we all know, life is in constant motion and we have to change with it. When one door closes, another one opens."

The business will continue to operate as a Spa and Salon at their new location.

"We will no longer be known as Victorian Day Spa & Inn. Our new name will be Mona Lisa Spa & Salon. I am excited about decorating it. I am going to go with a 'French' theme and anticipate that it will be just as beautiful as our current spa," says Rhonda.

They will still offer massage, facials body wraps, body scrubs, pedicures, manicures and waxing along with make-up and current styles in the hair salon.

"We offer several different packages from all day pampering to beauty make overs. I think one of the misconceptions people have is that since we are a spa, they are afraid our prices will be too high. Our spa and salon prices are very reasonable and we strive for customer satisfaction with all of our services," says Rhonda.

They pride themselves on continuing educational classes and hair shows to keep up with current trends.

"We can accommodate spa and bridal parties for small and large groups," says Rhonda.

Call them for more information and details.

Gift certificates are available and will be honored at their new location. Rhonda reminds people, "Don't forget Mothers Day."

The current staff consists of Shelly Quates, massage therapist with an associate's degree in sports medicine. Jackie Price-Custis is a cosmetologist with six years experience. Rhonda Stonebraker is also a cosmetologist with 27 years of experience and Tina Epple who is known as 'the world's greatest receptionist

"Watch for our Grand Opening when we will be giving away a Day Package and other door prizes," says Rhonda. She adds, "I want to send a special thank you to all of our clients for their loyalty."

Mona Lisa Day Spa & Hair Salon formerly known as Victorian Day Spa and Hair Salon will open at College Commons, across from Krogers in the next couple of months. Until then, customers can continue to receive the same services at their present location at 1245 South Jackson. Shop hours are currently Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with evening appointments available. Call them at (765) 653-5101 to pamper yourself or someone you know today. Don't forget to tell them you heard the Buzz.
