CHS defeats Monrovia

The Cloverdale boys' baseball team defeated Monrovia 2-1 in eight innings Monday night.
Cloverdale starting pitcher Josh Flory knotted the ball game at one-all after hitting a home run in the top of the sixth. Chad Cummings scored in the top of the eighth to get the win for the Clovers.
Flory threw seven innings with one run, three hits and 16 strikeouts.
The Clovers (1-3, 1-3 WCC) were back in action Tuesday at Monrovia where they lost 8-4.
The Clovers will travel to Turkey Run at 4:30 p.m. today
