Doors to Clinton speech open at 1 p.m.

Friday, April 11, 2008

Greencastle Mayor Sue Murray told the BannerGraphic Thursday, regarding today's visit of Former President Bill Clinton, that the doors at South Putnam Central Elementary's gymnasium will open at 1 p.m.

She said she was told by Secret Service officials that Clinton may not arrive until 2 p.m. to speak. She said there is seating for 700 people and possibly some standing room as well.

The Hillary Clinton for President Campaign sent out an e-mail to members of the media on Wednesday announcing Clinton's visit. South Putnam El-ementary is located at the intersection of U.S. 231 and U.S. 40 south of Greencastle. Barack Obama is in Terre Haute today.

Billary was scheduled for Greencastle at this time. Is he skipping out on us or planning something later.

Boy that should really screw up the traffic pattern for a while along with the steel plates and holes in the road.

Check South Putnam's address. It's Greencastle. Where'd you think it was?

I was there! It was an honor to be selected as a volunteer and Bill Clinton did an awesome job speaking on Hillary's behalf.I was so proud of how well behaved our young people were and the crowd as a whole. It was well worth my time and the traffic was handled with no problem with our great law enforcement working together as a team.Maybe some folks don't like the Clintons but, I choose to listen to what all the candidates plan for the future whether I like them or not.I had pretty much made up my mind to vote for Hillary. Solutions for American Economy. Hillary has my vote.
