Wednesday, April 16, 2008

To the editor:

We would like to thank the following vendors for participating in the April 8 South Putnam seventh grade health fair:

Dr. Hennette's office, Dr. Elliott's office, Family Support Services, Purdue Extension Services, Putnam County Health Department. P.I.E. Coalition, Area 30 Allied Health, Valerie Rayce with Athletic Training at South Putnam, Debi Hutcheson with Outdoor Safety/Recreation, Advocates Against Impaired Driving, Cummins Mental Health Center, Operation Life, and the Johnson Nichols Health Clinic.

We had a wonderful health fair this year and we couldn't have done it without you.

We would also like to thank the following businesses for their generous donations: Dixie Chopper, State farm agents Brad Tucker and Therese Cunningham, Family Video, Papa Murphy Pizza, Air National Guard, Subway, Alex alleys, McDonalds, Teacher's Credit Union, Burger King, Papa John's, Jostens, Pepsi, and The Ice Box.

Also, I appreciate the teachers, staff, and administration at South Putnam for the many donated items that were used as prizes and for their assistance and cooperation.

We also very much appreciate the P.I.E. Coalition grant that we used toward our health fair this year. The students each received a "Drug Free for Life" tee shirt and we had several very nice prizes for our essay contest, thanks to the grant money.
