The Greencastle High School men's tennis team will be holding a mini camp this Saturday, July 19 from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. at the GHS courts.

Kid's Best Friend camp at DePauw

The 12th annual Kid's Best Friend Basketball Camp will take place Monday through Wednesday, July 21-23, at the DePauw University Lilly Center. The cost is $65 per child, and boys and girls in pre-kindergarten through 10th grade are encouraged to attend.

Registration will be Monday from 8:30-9 a.m. at the Lilly Center gym entrance. The camp will be from 9-12:30 each day.

Youth football combine

South Putnam Youth Football will be having its fourth annual combine July 28 through Aug. 1 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. They will be taking late signups and handing out equipment at that time as well.

CLOVERDALE -- Cloverdale Youth Football and cheerleader signups for grades kindergarten through 6th will be July 29 and 31.

The signups will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the high school football behind the bleachers.

Payment will be due in full at registration.

Clover youth football camp

The Cloverdale high school and middle school football staffs will be hosting a Cloverdale Football Youth Camp Tuesday, July 29 through Thursday, July 31. The camp will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on the CHS practice fields.

The camp is open to players entering grades five through eighth. Cost is $15 and includes a camp T-shirt and an instructional DVD.

North Putnam volleyball tryouts

The North Putnam High School volleyball program will be having try-outs from Aug. 4 through 8.

On Monday and Thursday, the session will run from 8 a.m. through 1 p.m. On Tuesday and Wednesday, it will be 4 through 8:30 p.m. On Friday, the session will run from 8 to 10:30 a.m.

A parent meeting will be Monday, Aug. 11 at 6:30 p.m. Practice will run from 3:30 to 6 p.m. that day.

Alumni baseball game at North Putnam Aug. 9

The inaugural North Putnam Baseball Alumni Game has been set for Aug. 9 at North Putnam High School. This game is open to anyone who played or coached for a North Putnam baseball team from 1970 to 2008.

Player check-in begins at 2 p.m. with the first pitch slated for 3 p.m. Pre-registration entry fee is $25. It will be $30 on the day of the event.

Proceeds will help pay for an annual scholarship given to graduating senior baseball players continuing their career in college. Additional funds will help support the team and facilities.
