Elaine Peck, executive director of the Putnam County Community Foundation, announced that the following nine endowments have indicated their intent to participate in this year's Share the Dream contest so far: American Red Cross -- Putnam County Unit, Mabel G. Tobey Fund for Continuing Education in Nursing, Union Chapel Cemetery, Putnam County Playhouse, Inc., Purdue Club of Putnam County Scholarship, Reelsville Alumni Scholarship, Putnam County Board of Realtors Scholarship, First Baptist Church Capital Improvement Endowment and Greencastle High School Alumni Association.

Peck reported that a generous anonymous donor will again make three awards available through the Share the Dream Program in 2008:

* $1,000 for the endowment that raises the most money during the Share the Dream Program;

* $500 for the endowment receiving the most contributions via the Community Foundation's website at www.pcfoundation.org; and

* $500 for the endowment that has the most first time donors.

Share the Dream begins May 1 and lasts until Aug. 31. Program winners will be announced in early September.

Endowment funds wishing to join the program may wish to register by sending an email to nshoemaker@pcfoundation.org, however, this is not required, or call the foundation office at 866-653-4978.
