Putnam County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Barry Mason, 39, Greencastle, was booked at 1:48 a.m. Wednesday as part of a petition to revoke probation.

* Francisco Castillo, 31, Coconut Creek, Fla., was booked at 4:31 a.m. Wednesday as part of an out of county hold.

* Michael Skates, 50, Indianapolis, was booked at 5:08 a.m. Wednesday for non-support of a child.

* James, Willoughby, 21, Indianapolis, was booked at 5:23 a.m. Wednesday for driving while suspended.

* Matthew Hunt, 36, Cloverdale, was booked at 8:49 a.m. Wednesday as part of a court ordered commitment.

* Tina Nelson, 43, St. Louis, Mo., was booked at 10:27 a.m. Wednesday as part of a court ordered comittment.

* David Hudson, 40, Cloverdale, was booked at 12:01 p.m. Wednesday as part of a court order.

Greencastle Fire Dept.

The Greencastle Fire Department made the following runs recently:

* On Monday at 7:40 p.m., crews were dispatched to 301 E Seminary Street for an active alarm. They returned to station at 7:51 p.m.

* On Tuesday at 12:55 p.m., crews were dispatched to 500 S. Jackson Street, but were disregarded en route. They returned ti station at 12:57 p.m.

* At 9:11 p.m., crews were dispatched to 304 S. Indiana Street, but were disregarded while still at the station.

* On Wednesday at 6:58 a.m., crews were dispatched to 1 W. Washington Street to investigate an unusual odor. They returned to station at 7:51 a.m.

* At 9:11 a.m., crews were dispatched to 19 E Washington Street to rescue trapped individuals in an elevator. They returned to station at 9:18 a.m.

* At 11:18 a.m., crews were dispatched to a house fire at 1223 E. CR 200 South. They were assisted by departments from Cloverdale, Bainbridge and Fillmore. They returned to station at 1:40 p.m., but were called back to the fire scene at 3:57 p.m. to investigate lingering smoke and burning embers.

They returned to station at 5:01 p.m.
