Letha Cofer

Letha Louise (Irwin) Cofer, 81, Indianapolis, died Friday morning at her residence.

Born in Greencastle, she was the daughter of the late Elbert and Francis (Thornton) Irwin. She married Glen E. Cofer on June 8, 1946, and he survives.

She was an Avon representative for 27 years.

Additional survivors include four sons, Larry Cofer, Indianapolis, Gary Cofer and wife Jeanette, Cloverdale, Gail Cofer and wife Donna, Indianapolis, and Kevin Cofer, Indianapolis; a daughter, Cindy Haspel and husband Don, Indianapolis; four sisters, Elinor Buis, Greencastle, Marjorie Wallace, Avon, Joan Pierce and husband Dale, Greencastle, Carolyn Flint and husband Don, Greencastle; two brothers, Don Irwin and wife Wilma, Greencastle, and Robert Irwin and wife Juanita, Greencastle; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Francis Gail Irwin, an aunt, Letha Hurst, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Services are at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3 at Devon Hills Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Indianapolis, with graveside services at Long Branch Cemetery, Greencastle.
