CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale golf team picked up wins over Sullivan, Owen Valley and White River Valley in a four-way match Thursday night.

Sean Rhine picked up medalist for the Clovers, firing a 39.

"Sean had an excellent round in pretty rough wind conditions, making six pars," Clover coach Doug Wokoun said. "He was due for a round like this. He has worked very hard and tonight the effort paid off. Conditions affected almost everyone else, but Sean maintained his concentration and executed very well."

Chris Arnold was next for Cloverdale with a 43. Michael Glassburn shot a 44, and Mike Wellington finished the scoring with a 45.

Blake Witt also had a 55 for CHS.

With the Putnam County and WCC meets coming up next week, Wokoun is still looking for all of his players to put it together at the same time.

"We are still waiting for the match when all our players play well at once. We have different players excelling at different times, and we need to find a way to bring that together," Wokoun commented. "We have a big week ahead, and it is time to pull everything together."

In the JV match, Cloverdale defeated Sullivan 215-231. Cloverdale's Ryan Book was co-medalist with a 49.

Cloverdale (6-4) plays at home on Tuesday against Clay City.
