Three people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Rick Batchelor, 28, Carbon, was booked at 2:37 p.m. Wednesday for failure to appear.

* Dusty Heishman, 23, Greenfield, was booked at 9:58 p.m. Wednesday for escape.

* Kennith Roberts, 29, Greencastle, was booked at 10:22 a.m. Thursday as part of a court ordered commitment.

One accident was investigated recently by the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

On Wednesday at 10:20 p.m., Amber Cooper, 33, Cloverdale, was headed westbound on C.R. 1000 South when a deer ran out and struck her passenger side door. She drove to her residence to report the crash.

Damage was estimated between $1,000 - $2,500.
