Putnam County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Jeremy Hanley, 21, Coatesville, was booked at 5:44 p.m. Wednesday for public intoxication and driving while intoxicated.

* Marc Monnett, 57, Greencastle, was booked at 8:47 p.m. Wednesday for driving while intoxicated.

* Benjamin Knott, 21, Richmond, was booked at 9:49 p.m. Wednesday as part of a petition to revoke probation.

* Michael Grever, 27, Cloverdale, was booked at 10:07 p.m. Wednesday on two counts of failure to appear.

* Chad Allen, 35, Greencastle, was booked at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday for domestic battery.

Sheriff's Dept.

Two accidents were investigated recently by the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

* On May 6, at 8:09 p.m., Joanna Parman, 16, Greencastle, was northbound on C.R. 275 East when she said a black truck was in her lane. When she swerved to miss the truck she hit a fence.

Damage was reported between $1,000 - $2,500.

* On May 7 at 8:45 a.m., Earl Finley, 65, Trafalgar, was stopped at a gate. When he began to back up he didn't see Dominic Bell III, 58, Campbellsburg had pulled in behind him and hit Bell's car.

Damage was reported between $1,000 - $2,500.
