Clover baseball wins

SPEEDWAY -- The Cloverdale seventh and eighth grade baseball team defeated Speedway 17-5 Saturday.

Trevor Lockwood and Ethan Atwood each went 4-for-4 with two doubles for the Clovers. The team totaled an astounding 24 hits.

Devon Nees pitched four innings to get the win. Will Anderson appeared in relief and finished the game.

"The boys are coming together and playing as a team," said Coach Bill Boyette.
