Charles W. Schiewer

Charles W. "Chuck" Schiewer, 69, of Pittsboro, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Clarian Health/Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Mr. Schiewer was born Feb. 25, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio, to Fred and Bernetta (Wykoff) Schiewer. He was married to Barbara McKenzie on May 9, 1981, and she survives.

He was a salesman and had worked at H & H Bookbinding, Yellow Freight and J & J Transportation, Indianapolis.

He was a member of the Indiana National Guard, 38th Infantry Division.

Also surviving are a daughter, Shelley Mobley; a son, Steve Schiewer; his mother-in-law, Bessaline McKenzie; and three grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jim Schiewer; and his father-in-law, Harold "Mac" McKenzie.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with the Rev. Cordell McKenzie officiating. Calling will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery.
