Putnam Scanner for June 4, 2008

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Stephen Bridges, 26, Greencastle, was booked at 7:16 p.m. Monday for theft and forgery.

* Daniel Burke, 21, Crown Point, was booked at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday for resisting law enforcement, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

* Steven Sage, 27, Greencastle, was booked at 8:36 a.m. for violation of home detention.

Sheriff's Department

One accident was turned in at the Putnam County Sheriff's Department recently.

* On Tuesday at 6:50 a.m., Jennifer Wallen, 32, Brazil was westbound on US 40 when a deer ran in front of her and she was unable to avoid hitting it.

Damage was estimated between $2,500 - $5,000.
