Steven Campbell

Steven Earl Campbell, 63, of Cloverdale, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Putnam County Hospital.

Born April 25, 1945, in Putnam County, he was the son of Olyn Earl and Madeline Buis Campbell.

He had been a truck driver for Joe Spiker Excavating and Hassler Trucking for many years and was a member of the Greencastle Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include his daughter, Leslie Bumgardner and son-in-law Carlos, of Cloverdale; a son, Glen Campbell and daughter-in-law Stephanie, of Greencastle; brothers Morris DeWayne Campbell and wife Patty, of Virginia and Jimmie Dale Campbell and wife Judy and Ronnie Ray Campbell, all of Greencastle; sisters Mary Frances Call, of Fillmore, and Vicki Susanne Eustaquio and husband Tony, of California; five grandchildren and long-time companion Claudia J. Kays.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Carol LaVerne Alvis and brother Jackie Lee Campbell.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chandler-Hays Funeral Home, Greencastle, with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time.
