Ollis to talk weather

The Emmaus Christian Church will welcome WISH-TV's meteorologist Randy Ollis this Friday evening.

Ollis will be presenting slides and talking about the field of meteorology following the 6 p.m. cookout.

Joan Billman, the Emmaus' minister's wife said, "Join in the fun and fellowship starting off with a cookout, followed by some good old gospel singing. Then the highlight of the evening is a presentation by Channel 8's weatherman."

According to WISH-TV's Web site, "Randy Ollis received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology from Northern Illinois University and holds the seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society. In addition to his forecasting and on-air duties at WISH-TV, Ollis often speaks to local schools and various groups about weather casting and careers in television."
