Fred D. Mynatt Jr., 85, of Amo, died Monday, July 7 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Oct. 16, 1922 in Hazelwood, he was the son of Fred D. Sr. and Mary Albertson Mynatt. He married Mary G. Peters and she preceded him in death in 2005.

He was a carpenter working for various contractors and also was a truck driver for various trucking companies. He retired to Kentucky Lake in later years.

He was a member of the Indianapolis Moose Lodge No. 17 and the Coatesville Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include sons, Darrell and Frank Mynatt, both of Amo, Charles Mynatt, Danville, and Shawn Mynatt, Indianapolis; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Peters, Danville, Muriel Myers, Hazelwood, Lola Hornady, Florida, and Irma Watts, Rosedale; a brother, Harold Mynatt, New Whiteland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and three brothers.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Center Valley Cemetery, Clayton, with Rev. Wayne Dafoe officiating. There will be no visitation.
