Independence Day Champs

The Cedar Point Coed Softball Team, from the Greencastle area, captured the championship title during last weekend's Independence Day Coed Softball Tournament, organized by the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department as part of the Friends of the Park Association of Putnam County's Celebrate "4" Committee's annual July 4 celebration. Team members were team members (front, from left) Nikki Schmitz, Cassie Alspaugh, Megan Williams, Lyndie Alspaugh, Megan Koers, Kim Chaney, (back) Robert Schmitz, Kyle Knapp, Brad Alspaugh, Travis Mitten, Darrin Chaney, Willie Garrigus and Jason Peyton.
