James Hague

James Charles "Jim Dandy" Hague age 77 of Greencastle passed away Tuesday evening at the Putnam County Hospital.

Born Oct. 29, 1930 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Phillip George and Elvaethel (Roach) Hague.

He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School "Class of 1949". He married Faye (Kiger) Hague on Aug. 5, 1956 and she survives.

Mr. Hague had been an automotive mechanic with several automotive dealerships in Greencastle, Jim Harris Chevrolet, Bill Robertson Motors, and Linda Carney Motors, for 48 years. He later worked at the Wal-mart Store in Greencastle as a greeter for more than 10 years.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 1592; a former member of the Greencastle Lions Club and Civil Defense; and had attended the First Baptist Church, Greencastle.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Hague; three children, Rita Faye Warren and husband, Ernest of Ladoga, James William Hague and wife, Connie of Greencastle, and Deborah Lynn Barnett and husband, Robert of Greencastle; six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Wolf Creek Cemetery, Parke County.

Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. with a Moose Lodge Memorial walk thru at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
