Charles Marvel Jr.

Charles E. "Chuck" Marvel Jr., 51, of Indianapolis, and formerly of Eminence, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2008 at Clarian Health/Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis.

Born on Aug. 6, 1956, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Charles E. and Patricia A. (Gray) Marvel. He married Teri (Crouch) Marvel on Dec. 18, 1982, and she survives.

Mr. Marvel was a machinist and truck driver.

Survivors include his parents, of Eminence; two sons, Scott Andrew Marvel and wife Stinah, Seffner, Fla., and Stephen Anthony Marvel, of Indianapolis; a sister, Cindi Gott and husband Jerry, of Poland; a brother, Craig E. Marvel, of Clayton; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Chad Marvel in 1997.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor Tony Crouch officiating. Burial will be at Shumaker Cemetery, in Eminence.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
