She was born on Sept. 20, 1926 in Indianapolis to Chester and Sophia Wybinga Faulkner.
Mrs. Curtis was a member of First Christian Church in Greencastle, and a long-time member of the Plainfield Eastern Star.
Her parents; a son, Michael Curtis and her brother, William Faulkner preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Buford R. Curtis, whom she married on May 27, 1951; two sons, Bill Curtis and wife, Rachel of Greencastle and Frank Curtis and wife, Paula of Tacoma, Wash.; a sister-in-law, Joan Faulkner of Plainfield; five grandchildren, Shelley, Kristin, Mary Ann, Adam and Amanda; and four great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Wyatt, Jacob and Kenneth.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Champion officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
