She was born on Dec. 30, 1940 in Turlock to Herman and Juanita Price Niebaum. Ms. Jones retired from the Stanislaus County Mental Health Department and had served as a secretary at the Machinist Union Local 1528 in Modesto, Calif.
She was a member of Bainbridge Christian Church, and Grace Community Church in Ceres, Calif., and The Native Daughters of the Golden West/Morada Parlor No. 199.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Surviving are her loving companion, Roy Harris; a daughter, Debbie Welch and husband, Tom of Roachdale; a son, David Jones and wife, Angie of Los Banos, Calif.; a brother, Frank Niebaum and wife, Annette of Sonora, Calif.; five grandchildren, David Pimlott, Jennifer Pimlott, Amanda Jones, Tommy Welch and Katie Welch; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Turlock Memorial Park, Turlock, Calif.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway, Turlock, Calif.
A lifelong supporter of athletics, Phyllis was an avid bowler and softball pitcher.
