This coming weekend the Eddy-Lynn Shrimp Farm will harvest its shrimp and invite the public to attend.

The event will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday. They will offer primitive camping as well so patrons can stay all weekend. They will also have wine tasting available while the three ponds full of the tasty crustaceans are being drained.

The shrimp had a rough trip coming to Putnam County this year due to the rains in early June. Initially, the shrimp were to be delivered the first weekend of June.

It was just prior to that when the torrential rainstorms left many counties underwater and in a state of emergency that continues to this day.
