CHS golf finishes third

CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The Cloverdale girls' golf team placed third to Southmont and North Vermillion in a three-way meet at Crawfordsville Country Club Tuesday.

Southmont won with a score of 193, followed by North Vermillion with 205, and Cloverdale finished it off with a 226.

Kayla Langdon was the medalist of the match with a 44, beating out two players from Southmont and one from North Vermillion who each had a 45. Langdon also had three pars on her way to becoming medalist.

Elizabeth Wiley was next for the Clovers with a 56, followed by Victoria Boyette with 59, and Erica Looper finished with a 67. Boyette and Looper were both below their season's average for the Clovers.

"This is the second meet in a row in the 220s, so we are improving," Cloverdale coach Ken Williams commented.

Cloverdale will travel to Deer Creek to face Cascade at 4 p.m. next Wednesday.
