William T. "Bill" Cox, 71, of Franklin, formerly of Oakland City, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008 at Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin.

He was born on May 4, 1937 in Princeton, to Stewart and Helen (Volkman) Cox.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Washington, Ind. and Oakland City F&AM Masonic Lodge No. 467 where he was past master also owned an operated Cox Body Shop in Oakland City for many years.

Survivors include his sister Edna Carol Crowe of Plainfield.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, in Oakland City with burial in Montgomery Cemetery. The Rev. Charles K. Stanley will officiate.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. until services on Monday at the chapel.

Oakland City Masonic Lodge No. 467 will conduct a memorial services on Sunday at 7 p.m.
