"This was a great way to end the regular season for our seniors," said GHS coach Bart Spencer. "Ty and Logan are two great young men. They have worked hard and have done everything that's been asked of them. They will do well in life."

At No. 1 singles, junior David Cath began the singles dominance with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Chrs Miller. Cath is 11-3 on the year heading into today's sectional opener.

The two Greencastle doubles teams struggled against the Warriors. Vic Ness and Joey Kass fell to Michael Skiles and Matt Hollars, 6-0, 6-0. Cy Spencer and Xander Hazel lost to Nick Cheesman and Zach Baldwin 6-1, 6-2.

The junior varsity also saw action against Danville on Saturday. Unfortunately, Danville came out on top 3-0. Dustin York lost to Daniel Freiburger 8-3. Jared Bruner lost to Josh Kiemer 8-1 and Tyler Schumacher lost to Kyle Devlin 8-1.

The Tiger Cubs (3-8) open sectional play at Northview against the hosts at 5 p.m. today.

"We have been making progress all season long and it is beginning to show. We're in a good position for sectional play on Wednesday and are looking forward to it," Coach Spencer concluded.
