RUSSELLVILLE -- On Saturday, the Russellville Saloon and Beehive Cafe will be hosting Octoberfest Ride & Ribs, a benefit in memory of Dave Goodnight, the owner of the businesses, who died Sept. 4.

The event is being organized by the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club, which supports many charitable events including benefits for the troops, cancer, and the world's largest toy run.

A poker run will be held. Sign-in will be from 11 to noon, and bikes must be out by noon. Cost for entry is $15 per person or couple.

A barrel roll will begin at 4 p.m. There will be door prizes.

In the evening, Alternate Saints Band will play. Cover is $5 per couple.

A portion of the proceeds will be used to buy items for care packages to be sent to soldiers deployed overseas.

  • It's wonderful to see information about events supporting our soldiers in the Banner. It would be even more wonderful to see information about events to raise funds for our own local soldiers.
