Sheriff's department in search of coats for kids

Monday, October 6, 2008
Members of the Putnam County Sheriff's Department received boxes from First Sergeant Hess, USMC recently for the Toys for Tots program. Pictured here are Steve Smith, Kyle Gibbons, Sheriff Steve Fenwick and Jeremiah Jackson with Hess.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Department fourth Annual Haunted Trail is raising money and taking toy donations for Toys for Tots from Oct. 23-25 in the woods next to the jail. The haunted woods will be open from 7-10 p.m.

The group is also accepting gently used or new coats for the Coats for Kids program.

A costume contest will take place on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. for kids age five and under and six to 12 years old.

  • I know... knit picking... but, shouldn't you type "received boxes recently" instead of 1st Sgt. Hess being a USMC recently? Banner Graphic - you are fun to read!
