Ronald C. Horner

Ronald C. Horner, 81, of Poland passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital, Brazil.

Born April 16, 1927 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Sam and Margaret Ethel (Chamberlain) Horner. He married Ethel (Howell) Horner on April 12, 1980 and she survives.

Mr. Horner had been employed as a building contractor. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion Post #2, Brazil and Moose Lodge #780, Brazil.

Additional survivors include five daughters, Michelle Horner of Monticello, Ky., Susan Allen of Washington state, Mary Cook of Anderson, Rebecca Horner of Liberty and Rhonda Horner of Anderson; step-daughter Pam Adams and husband Bill of Cloverdale; two stepsons, Donald Roudebush and wife Tammy Lynn of Indianapolis and Trag Lansing of Poland; sister Jean Neville of Shelbyville; two brothers, Chuck Horner and wife Ann of Indianapolis and Phil Horner and wife Betty of Biloxi, Miss.; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Coloin Horner.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale with Pastor Tom Woodley officiating. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.

Calling will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
