Jon William Lancaster

Jon William Lancaster, age 45, of Brazil passed away at his residence Thursday Dec. 18, 2008 following an extended illness.

He was born December 29, 1962 in Goshen to Billy and Frances McGinty Lancaster. He married Fran Nevils in April of 1986. They were later divorced, but have remained close friends.

Mr. Lancaster graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1981. Following high school he attended Ivy Tech, earning a degree in Computer Technology in 1983. He worked at Data Point, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Donnelley Corporation, all in Terre Haute, and Depauw University in Greencastle as a computer technician. He enjoyed ATV riding, working on and learning about computers and reading.

Survivors include his brother Jeff Lancaster of Columbia, Mo., sister Jane Lancaster of Michigan City and two nieces, Andrea "Andie" Lancaster and Casey Atterson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel Monday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating. Calling will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until time of service.
