Harry Cecil Brickert, 76, died at 6:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008 at his daughter's residence in Indianapolis.

He was born on April 18, 1932, in Martinsville, to the late Charles Leroy and Mary Marie (Fisher) Brickert.

He was a self-employed contractor and more specifically a building mover.

He was a Korean War veteran serving as a corporal in the U.S. Army from June 20, 1949 to Aug. 26, 1952.

Survivors include four sons, Daniel Brickert of Indianapolis, David Brickert of Coatesville, Jimmy Brickert of Plainfield and Randy Brickert of Greencastle; one daughter, Becky Buschard of Indianapolis; two brothers, Paul Brickert of Monrovia and Denny Brickert of Indiana; four sisters, Barbara Gray of Ohio, Beverly Grider of Westport, Clara Carter of Cloverdale and Mary Elizabeth Brickert of Mooresville; and three grandchildren.

Four brothers, Ronnie, Richard, Jimmy and Charles Brickert, Jr., preceded him in death.

Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 29 at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. The Rev. Bill Bray will conduct a celebration of life service at noon Monday, Dec. 29 at the funeral home.

Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion honor guard will conduct a military graveside service at the conclusion of the committal service in Friendship Park Cemetery in Paragon.
