Alice Mildred Cooksey To Celebrate 95th Birthday Jan. 4

The children of Alice Mildred Cooksey will host an open house in honor of her 95th birthday Sunday, Jan. 4.

She was born Jan. 5, 1914 and raised in Owen County, but later relocated with her husband, Rolla B., to the Putnam County area. She is a member of the Baptist faith, attending her hometown church for more than 67 years.

Mrs. Cooksey was a housewife and mother of four children, Carolyn Scott and husband, Arthur; LeRoy Cooksey and wife, Glennis; Arlene Ooley and husband, Sonny; and Rhonda Stinson and husband, Hank. She also has 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

The open house for Mrs. Cooksey will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 4 at Mill Pond Health Campus.
