William Tuttle

William "Bill" Tuttle, 83, of Spencer died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008 at home.

Mr. Tuttle was born July 2, 1925, in Greencastle to William Henry Harrison Tuttle and Flora Marie Ghent. He married Carmaleeta Jones, and she survives.

He was a bulldozer operator for Harry C. Miller and worked for Gueple Construction in Indianapolis. He was a farmer, furrier and ginseng dealer. He was a member of the Quincy Conservation Club and the FFA.

Also surviving are four daughters, Lois Ann Leeburg (Michael) of Gosport, Carol Sue Coleman (Randall) of Tennessee, Pamela Jo Sullivan of Spencer and Brenda Lee Brown (Bryan Kelly) of Spencer; a sister, Frances B. Asher of Roachdale; a brother, Harold Allen Grimes of Bainbridge; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

His parents preceded him in death.

Services were held Dec. 24 at Whitaker Funeral Home in Gosport. Elder Larry Calvery officiated.

Burial was in Gosport Cemetery.
