Kristen Rissler, Reelsville, was traveling on County Road 400 near U.S. 40 at 7:50 a.m. Jan. 12 when a deer came over the embankment. She was unable to avoid hitting the animal. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

William Cox, Carmel, was traveling south on U.S. 231 at 9:35 a.m. Jan. 11 when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid hitting the animal. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages. Steeles Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene.

James Ingalls, Oolitic, was traveling on S.R. 231 north at 6:40 p.m. Jan. 10 when he attempted to pass a state highway vehicle. He lost control of his vehicle and came to rest in the ditch. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Andrew Shafer, Greencastle, was traveling south on U.S. 231 at 7:25 a.m. Jan. 9 when a two deer entered the roadway. Shafer struck both deer leaving one of the animals dead. The second deer ran off. Shafer was uninjured. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Velerie A. Leniham, Greencastle, was traveling on County Road 175 at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday when a deer entered the roadway. The animal ran into the side of Leniham's vehicle. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,00 in damages.

Putnam County Jail

Dwayne Harris, 41, Greencastle, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 2:08 p.m. Jan. 8 for operating while intoxicated.

Matthew Smith, 19, Greencastle, was booked at 3:09 p.m. Jan. 8 for theft.

Brian Branagin, 33, Greencastle, was booked at 4:26 p.m. Jan. 9 for public intoxication.

Bryan White, 33, Mooresville, was booked at 10:01 p.m. Saturday for possession of marijuana, operating while intoxicated, public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.

Donald Bickley, 42, Cloverdale, was booked at 2:30 a.m. Sunday for public intoxication, operating while intoxicated and operating per se.

Scott Mason, 19, Greencastle, was booked at 2:57 a.m. Sunday for public intoxication and possession of alcohol by a minor.

Patrick Kelly, 18, Greencastle, was booked at 4:01 a.m. Sunday for public intoxication and possession of alcohol by a minor.

Silvestre Reyes, 26, Brazil, was booked at 6:33 a.m. Sunday for possession of a controlled substance, operating a vehicle while never been issued a license and operating while intoxicated.

Joshua Gaston, 21, Greencastle, was booked at 9:02 a.m. Monday for probation violation.

Doris Deford, 48, Sulsbury, was booked at 1:42 p.m. Monday for theft and failure to stop after an accident.

Russell Estep, 20, Cloverdale, was booked at 10:41 p.m. Monday for domestic battery.
