Donald A. Foster, 88, of Plainfield died on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009 at his residence.

He was born July 13, 1920 in Kokomo to Cort and Ruby Blinn Foster. He married Jeanette Weyreter on Aug. 7, 1948 in Indianapolis.

Mr. Foster was an air conditioning engineer for General Services Administration for more than 25 years before retiring in 1975. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post #3246 and a member of Englewood Masonic Lodge #715 for more than 50 years.

Survivors include his wife, daughters Linda Wyrick and Tina Wood, son Michael Foster, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield. Private burial will take place in Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Whitestown.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In appreciation of the hospice care, the Foster family requests memorial contributions be made to the Visiting Nurse Service Foundation in care of Hospice Division, 4701 N. Keystone Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46205.
