Barbara Jean "B.J." Keyt, 65, of Clinton Falls died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after an extended battle with cancer.

The daughter of Herbert and Armatha Switzer, she was born Sept. 6, 1943 in Grand Island, Neb. In 1989, she married Melvin Keyt and he survives.

Mrs. Keyt was employed with Ambler Hill Florists, Greencastle, as a floral designer. She had previously worked at PMI and Marsh in Greencastle. She was a member of the Clinton Falls Community Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and Greencastle Eagles Lodge #4388. She was also very involved in Moose Lodge #1592 activities with Women of the Moose #138 in various capacities and officer positions, she was a member of the Women of the Moose Ritual Team and was an International Ritual Team judge.

Survivors include brothers Roger Stingley and wife Pat of Parker, Colo. and Ronald Stingley and wife Judy of Bowling Green, Ky.; sister Karen Bowen of Indianapolis; children Kenneth Dean Decker II and wife Teresa of Greencastle, Shannon Leigh Decker Thompson and husband David of Greencastle, Sherri Lynn Wahl and husband Scott of Cloverdale and Montgomery Keith Keyt and wife Janice of Clinton Falls; brother-in-law William Keyt and wife Joanna, sister-in-law Betty Wallace and husband Joe; grandchildren Josh and Chad Keyt, Meagan, Broderick, and Kara Decker, Shayna Wahl and Zoe Hagymasi as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Dwayne Allen Decker.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Pastor Kelzo Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Falls Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. A Moose walk through will take place at 7 p.m.
