Letter to the Editor

Politicians can't go unchecked

To the Editor:

I live in Fillmore and I could care less about a trail as long as I don't have to pay for it.

I do, however, care about the board members telling me they would not take money from the water and sewage fund and having now changed their minds.

I guess even small town politicians think they can do what ever they want regardless of what they said they would do.

All of a sudden, one of them has a company so large that he no longer has time for the office he ran for without compensation. Then resign!

As for the other, he was probably only going with the flow to start with, so "if he's going to take it then so am I" is probably his ideology.

The only person who is doing what he said he would is Mr. Jones.

Well, hats off to you, Mr. Jones. Stand by your word! Maybe you should rub off some of your ethics and morals on the other two who once they were voted in suddenly changed their minds.

Shocking.

Thanks a lot. We trusted you to be honest and do what you said.

Sadness and disappointment is all I can think of.
