Putnam County Commissioners signed a proclamation at their Monday night meeting naming March 15-21 as Ag Week in Putnam County.

This event occurs during National Agricultural Day (week) every year on the first day of spring. It honors agriculture for providing safe, abundant and affordable products, a strong economy and sources of renewable energy and job opportunities.

This year's calendar of events includes a pancake and sausage breakfast, the Putnam County Field Day and The Rotary/Kiwanis "Ask a Farmer" to Lunch.

On Thursday, the Mini-Farm Fest will take place, as well as tours for Putnam County fourth grade students.

All events will take place at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. More details will be published in the Banner Graphic closer to the date of the event.

For information, to purchase tickets or reserve booth space, contact Beth Evans at 653-2281 or Stacey Baird at 765-739-6778.
